Since purchasing the business from his father Gary, Tom Pelletier and his son Roy have not only increased the physical size of the business, but have also broadened the overall spectrum of services offered including the addition of powder coating. Simply put, solvent-based coatings use chemical compounds as the main solvent for thinning pigment solids. Although effective, this method releases Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) into the atmosphere. Waterborne coatings use water as the primary solvent which greatly reduces VOC emissions.
